As the discipline follows the global information, internet, and social network growth, Data Science specialists are in demand not just by technological businesses, but also by huge corporations, international banking, and financial institutions.

Master of Data Science is a dual degree curriculum, a cooperation between the UK National Qualifications Framework (Level 7 – Master) and Paris-U, that enables students to become data science specialists. The curriculum offers students with knowledge about the analysis of raw data sources, the formation of prediction models, in-depth analysis models, action models, and the application of analytical conclusions.

Upon graduation, fellows will contemporaneously receive 2 Master degrees:

  • The Master Degree belongs to the UK National Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF): Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Data Science
  • Master of Sciences in Data Science from Paris-U.

The distinctions in accreditation and recognition:

The Master of Sciences in Data Science is a dual degree programme, a collaboration between the national UK level training Qualifi and Universi té Li bérale de Paris (Paris-U) . Both organisations have achieved accreditations and recognition for the institution and programmatic.

  • Paris-U is fully accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, University and Colleges) at the highest Premier Institute level. The Master of Sciences in Data Science programme is accredited by Qualifi, a Level awarding organisation that is accredited by Ofqual.
  • Qualifi is the UK’s Level Awarding Organisation, accredited and recognized by Ofqual UK.

The Dual Degree Master of Sciences in Data Science programme consists of 6 mandatory modules and a Master Dissertation/ Capstone Projects/ Work-based Project for a combined total of 160 credits, lasting a minimum of 1.5 years.

  • Statistical Inference
  • Fundamentals of Predictive Modelling Advanced Predictive Modelling
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Unsupervised Multivariate Methods Machine Learning

After each module, learners will take an ending exam. The end-of-module exams are application-oriented essays to help learners review knowledge, apply knowledge in the workplace, and improve the practical environment.

Dissertation/ Capstone Projects/ Work-based Project will be associated with the data sciences solutions in the workplace.

 

Entry requirements

To enrol the Dual Degree Master of Sciences in Data Science, the learner must possess:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or achieved a Level 6 Diploma according to the European Qualifications
  • For a degree from non-recognized universities; The learner should have followed the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy of Paris-U.
  • Learners must be over 21 years old.

Paris-U reserves the highest decision-making power for admission whether to accept or not accept after a specific review of each candidate’s profile to ensure that they can comprehend and gain benefits when participating.

For the fake university or the diploma mills, Paris-U shall not be accepted.

English requirements:

If a learner is not from a predominantly English-speaking country, proof of English language proficiency must be provided.

  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level B2 or equivalent
  • Or A minimum TOEFL score of 101 or IELTS 6.5; Reading and Writing must be at 6.5 or equivalent

Paris-U has been accredited the “premier institution” status by the ASIC, and the programme is also accredited by Ofqual’s UK.

The programmes are strictly accredited by prestigious organisations; then, the graduated learner confidence participates in the labour market or/and easy learning connected to prestigious and equivalent educational systems.

Upon completing the Dual Degree Master of Sciences in Data Science programme, the learner will receive 2 Master degree:

  • Master Degree from Paris-U: Master of Sciences in Data Science

Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Data Science

Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Data Science is a qualification in the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework, recognised not only by the UK government but also globally.

Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Data Science:

  • Level 7 according to the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Europe Qualifications Framework (EQF)
  • Sufficient training duration for Master qualification: 120 Credits

Master of Sciences in Data Science from Paris-U

In addition to the UK Level 7 Diploma, after graduating from the programme, learners also receive a Master of Sciences in Data Science from Université Libérale de Paris (Paris-U).

 

After completing the Dual Degree Master of Sciences in Data Science programme, learners can continue to study to Level 8 (Doctor) or transfer to other education systems. The following table shows the development pathways after completing the programme.
