In the context of English as the global language of communication, teaching English is a fascinating, engaging, and in-demand profession. Master of Arts in TESOL is a dual-degree program that provides both a UK national Level 7 certificate (Master of Education) and a TESOL Master’s degree from the internationally recognized French education system.

This is the only curriculum that combines educational management with management of English language instruction. In addition to planning and administration in the education business, the program’s curriculum focuses on teaching classroom instructors and can retrain the future generation of English teachers.

Upon graduation, fellows will contemporaneously receive 2 Master degrees:

  • Level 7 Diploma according to the UK National Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF): OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Education Management and Leadership.
  • Master of Arts in TESOL from Paris-U.

Differences in accreditation and recognition:

The MA in TESOL is a dual degree program, offering two Master’s degrees from the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The curriculum is the cooperation between the national UK National Regulated Qualification provider OTHM and Universite Liberale de Paris. Both organisations are institutionally and programmatically accredited.

  • SIMI Swiss is accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, Universities, and Colleges) at the Premier Institute level, and the program is accredited by OTHM, ATHE, Qualifi, LRN, An Ofqual Recognised Awarding Organisation.
  • OTHM is an Ofqual Recognised Awarding Organisation

The dual degree MA in TESOL program consists of 2 groups, with 6 modules specializing in pedagogy and 3 modules specializing in English teaching for a combined total of 180 credits, lasting a minimum of 1.5 years.

  • The Management of Educational Change (20 credits)

Each module will conclude with an assignment. The final assignments consist of application-focused essays designed to help learners test their knowledge, apply it to their jobs, and develop in the real world.

Training philosophy:

The curriculum also equips learners with classroom knowledge and skills to teach English in an international context and in an international educational environment as well as the modern skills of an educator and a specialist in educational management using innovative training techniques and pedagogical psychology.

 Entry requirements

To enrol the Dual Degree Master of Arts in TESOL, the learner must possess:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or achieved a Level 6 Diploma according to the European Qualifications
  • For a degree from non-recognized universities; The learner should have followed the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy of Paris-U.
  • Learners must be over 21 years old.

Paris-U reserves the highest decision-making power for admission whether to accept or not accept after a specific review of each candidate’s profile to ensure that they can comprehend and gain benefits when participating.

For the fake university or the diploma mills, Paris-U shall not be accepted.

English requirements

If a learner is not from a predominantly English-speaking country, proof of English language proficiency must be provided.

  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level B2 or equivalent
  • Or A minimum TOEFL score of 101 or IELTS 6.5; Reading and Writing must be at 6.5 or equivalent

OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership

 

OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is a qualification in the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework, recognised not only by the UK government but also globally.

  • Level 7 according to the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Europe Qualifications Framework (EQF)
  • Sufficient training duration for Master qualification: 120 Credits.

Master of Arts in Tesol (MBA) of The Université Libéral de Paris

At the second stage, learners will choose the majors to develop a Dissertation/ Capstone Projects/ Work-based Projects. The major of the Dissertation/ Capstone Projects/ Work-based Projects will be the basis for determining the graduate major of the programme.
